Our youngest by 2 minutes. Zaniya AKA Niya has a strong personality. She is the splitting image of her mom. They act the same too. Some scary shyt huh?

Zaniya is a tomboy and the class clown. EVERYONE knows and love her around school. She's all the boys' girlfriend (don't let her daddy hear me say that). Their moms' are constantly telling me how their sons are "in love with Niya". What can I say, she get it from her mama! My baby a real SHOW STOPPER.

Here are some of her favorites @ age 3 3/4:
Color: Blue
Food: Chicken Nuggets
Drink: Apple Juice
Cartoon Character: Hello Kitty (who she calls a cat)
Favorite Quotes: "Mommy can you buy me some McDonald's?" "Can we go to Grandma's house after school?"
Song: Stay Fly by Jim Jones
Things that you don't know: She loves to blow bubbles & knows how to take GOOD pictures with a camera
Drama with her: She puts things in her mouth and touches too much

Our First Thanksgiving

Well technically this is not our "first" Thanksgiving together. But it is the first Thanksgiving that I have ever cooked and our first Thanksgiving together as a married couple.

For starters, no one never told me that a turkey was so creepy and so dang hard to clean. It took me about 5 minute to prepare myself to get the stuff out the side. Marcelin was no help either since he was "scared". I mean 2 scary people aint going to make it.

After I conqured the fear of touching it, I finally was able to clean it. As the water drained out the sink I swore the bird was making noise.

I have a feeling that this will be our last turkey.

But I combined about 4 recipes to create my bird. It was soooo good & juicy!
So I ended up cooking: turkey, stuffing, macaroni & cheese, string beans, mashed potatoes & baked a chocolate cake. Here are the pictures...

I invited my mom & brother over everyone said that the food was GOOD!

Thanksgiving is about thanks - I am thankful for my family, my job, my life & to experience love. To be loved. I am thankful that my kids are healthy, smart and beautiful. I am thankful that I have a husband who understands me and is always there to go that extra mile with me. I just wish my daddy was here to see it all, but I am thankful that he is not here suffering. I know that we are going through hard times right now, but I am still thankful for what I have right now...It always gets greater later.

Here are some random pictures I took of us today.

They Say the First Year of Marriage is the Hardest

And boy they weren't the lying!!! I mean we have only been married 4 weeks and it seems like we are going through hell... SERIOUS hell.

I mean first off we are BROKE. Then my car breaks (an extra expense). They cut my hours down to 2 days @ LQ, so I resign. 2 days is not worth the 82+ mile drive. Then Marcelin's car transmission goes (another expense). Now we have to move before December 31st (another dang expense). We received a letter under the door stating they are not letting us renew the lease - no reason why.

I mean I hate staying here and I was going to break the lease anyway but now we have to rush to move and come up with the money.

Mind you, we still owe 2 people for helping us with the wedding and now I have a car note. To top it all off the photographer isn't paid and I owe the IRS.

TELL ME THIS AINT GOING TO BE ONE HELLUVA YEAR!!!

The only thing I can go by is faith. God knows exactly what he wants us to do and where he wants us to be.

I need to stop thinking of the shouldas, couldas, wouldas and just let God do his work but its so hard when you are a perfectionist.

Lord give me strength to bare all things.

Its All About The Name

The meaning of the name Francois is Free.

The origin of the name Francois is French

The First Post...

I decided to create a blog for my family. No one may not even read it but I just wanted to capture our lives on "paper" in case someone wanted to know about it.

We are the average family but we have so much to accomplish.

Me & Marcelin started dating back in April of 2002. We were married on October 20, 2007. We became a family long before that. We were blessed with two bundles of joy on January 9, 2004.

I have NEVER experienced a love like this before...our daughters are the reason I breathe. I see everyday as something new as I view the world through their eyes. They teach me so much about love & life.

This blog will highlight our lives. I will spot light a family member so you all can get to know my family. Since I no longer have to plan my wedding, I have taken up 3 new hobbies: cooking, decorating & scrapbooking. All will be posted HERE...

So kick off your shoes, sit back and enjoy the ride!!!
